Quilting Skills 101

Service Description

In this 5-hr workshop we will learn a variety of tips and tricks related to piecing and assembling quilts. We will learn how to use quilting accessories with our sewing machines, including the walking foot, quarter inch foot, lowering the feed dogs and other features of your sewing machine. We will learn how to add a border, miter a corner, free motion quilt the top, and add binding. We will practice these techniques while making placemats. Bring your own sewing machine, accessories and supplies. We will supply the fabric, sewing space, cutting and ironing stations. A portion of the class fee has been covered by a grant from NEORQC Northeast Ohio Regional Quilt Council.
