VOLUNTEER

We welcome you to join our Community of Volunteers.  We rely on the time and talent of every volunteer to help support all of our programs. You can volunteer In Person, At Home, or by attending one of our Community Events. Register in advance to let us know you plan to attend the event. You can also Contact your Local Chapter Coordinator to find out how you can help.

Everyone who volunteers for Sew4Service is a member of our Creators Club.  Special Events and Discounts are available to Creators Club Members.

Store Assistant

Assist Store Manager, pricing and displaying items, checking out customers

Donation Sorting - Help sort, measure and price donations

Charity Kit Assembler

Help make charity kits from donated materials

Cut Fabric

Cut fabric into blocks, strips or other sizes for charity kits.  You can also use our AccuQuilt Cutting Machine to cut the fabric.

Finish Quilt Tops

Come in, learn to use our free motion sewing machine and long arm sewing machine to finish quilt tops.

Cleaning the Store and Studio Dusting, vacuuming and general cleaning

At Home

​Make Handmade Items

Make handmade items at home to be donated to local charities.  Items include lap blankets, twin size or throw size quilts, pillowcases, market bags, tote bags, soap sack savers, fleece blankets, fidget quilts, placemats, baby items, hats and scarves, and more.

Wash donated items

Take quilts, blankets, pillowcases etc. home to wash in fragrance free detergent before the items are delivered to a charity.

Cut Fabric

Take home fabric and cut it into strips, blocks or other sizes for charity kits.

Delivery Day Driver

Contact and deliver handmade items to local charities.

Community Events

Community Events

Attend occasional community events, hand out items and informational materials.

Charity Sewing Days

Lead a Charity Sewing Day at your location or at a Chapter Location.

Community Clubs

Visit nursing homes, schools, and community groups to lead crocheting and knitting clubs.

Teach Classes at Local Libraries or in our Studio

Teach a class in a Sewing Studio or Library.
